About Pilgrim Goalkeeper Coaching |

|
Pilgrim Goalkeeper Coaching (PGC) was
created in 2005 by Bob Warby due to a lack of goalkeeping
development opportunities, and was formed on the basis of offering
professional quality sessions to every goalkeeper of every ability.
Bob grew the brand and in very little time PGC was the largest
goalkeeper coaching school in both Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire
with over 200 goalkeepers registered and attending their popular
weekly sessions and goalkeeping academies. PGC had grown so popular
that rival goalkeeper coaching schools were attempting to persuade
Bob to join them, however Bob remained loyal to PGC and maintained
the growth. PGC announced a sponsorship deal from Reusch in 2006, such is the compliment to the level of professionalism of PGC, that the biggest brand in goalkeeper equipment wanted to become affiliated to the school and several football league clubs also took an interest into the goalkeeping development taking place on their doorsteps. Such was the impression that PGC made on these clubs, Bob found several offers to head up goalkeeping departments and accepted the offer from Grimsby Town FC, whilst staying on with PGC as Director of Coaching. PGC maintained it's reputation by holding holiday courses and even participated in GKUnsigned, a national competition in which winners of regional heats were invited to a national final where the winner would become involved with a professional club. PGC's stature grew with the introduction of it's Goalkeeper Academy, where an elite group of goalkeepers from local clubs were invited to train together over the course of a season and the students were introduced to professional goalkeepers from the UK and overseas. Recent times has seen PGC agree a new sponsorship deal with WarbyGK, and also has seen a move away from weekly group sessions and concentrate on specialising in One on One sessions or Low Number sessions, as well as continuing with their popular Club Coaching sessions. Plans for the future are to re-introduce the Holiday Courses and the highly regarded Academy sessions.
